The netBiog site is set up to support this. In some circumstances this will mean
automating existing processes and in others, it will mean developing new processes
enabled by the netBiog technology.
netBiog can provide significant efficiencies in the collection of information about
members. The challenge that many organisations face is in motivating their members
to keep records up-to-date and to use the services provided. netBiog solves this
by putting the individual site user in charge of their own profiles and information.
This information belongs to them and can be managed by them for their own benefit,
motivating them to get involved. The netBiog site is easy and convenient to use, minimising the
time and effort required to input information.
We work with organisations to develop profiles appropriate to the information needs
of the organisation and profile users. Once the profile has been designed,
it is loaded onto the netBiog site and made available to those site users with appropriate
permissions. Normally this means members of the organisation concerned.
We also link our site through a web services interface with membership systems and
reporting systems to provide seamless use by both the members and the organisation.
The reporting data provided by netBiog can be invaluable to organisations.
As part of the profile design, we look at what roll-up and analytical data is required
and build this into the reporting system. The site user must agree to appropriate
terms when initiating a profile to ensure that an organisation can access the data
they need.
Profile design can be as simple as taking an existing form and putting it online
or it can be a complex process requiring focus groups, user trials and sophisticated
psychometric analysis. We will work with you through this process to ensure
the profiles we create meet the information needs of your organisation.
Each organisation will have a control panel to manage specific features like data
reporting, availability of profiles and in some cases, membership management.
